10VRV / VRF systems
VRV / VRF systems for commercial buildings
Advanced multi-zone air-conditioning for larger spaces and buildings. Each zone can be controlled on its own, from one connected system. AI AIR SOLUTIONS designs, supplies, installs and services Daikin VRV systems from Raipur, across Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Odisha.
01The system
What a VRV / VRF system is
A VRV / VRF system connects one or more outdoor units to many indoor units through a single network of refrigerant piping. Instead of a separate outdoor unit for every room, one system serves a whole floor or building.
The system varies how much refrigerant goes to each indoor unit to match what each zone needs, so a meeting room, an open office and a cabin can each run at their own setting, or be switched off while the rest keeps running.
Indoor units on the same system don't have to be the same type: ceiling cassettes, concealed ducted units and ceiling-suspended units can share one network, chosen room by room for the ceiling and interior.
VRV or VRF: is there a difference?
They describe the same kind of system. VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) is Daikin's name for its systems; VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) is the general industry term used for this type of system by other manufacturers.
As a Daikin Authorized Dealer & Service Provider, the systems we supply and install are Daikin VRV. We also service VRF and other AC systems, including ones you didn't buy from us.
- 01
Outdoor units
Usually on the roof or a terrace, with clearance around them for airflow and room to service them.
- 02
Refrigerant piping
Insulated copper lines run from the outdoor units through shafts and ceiling voids to every floor.
- 03
Branch joints
Where the main line divides, branch joints split the refrigerant towards each indoor unit.
- 04
Indoor units
Cassettes, ducted or ceiling-suspended units in each zone, each with its own control.

03Before installation
Planning a VRV / VRF installation
A system like this is designed around the building, before anything is quoted. These are the questions we work through with you.
- 01
Zones and how they are used
Which rooms need cooling, how many people use them and at what times, and which areas must be controlled separately.
- 02
Right-sized design
Right-sized design before quotation: we calculate the cooling each zone needs, so the system is neither undersized nor oversized.
- 03
Outdoor unit location
A roof or terrace position with airflow clearance, a sound structural base and safe access for maintenance.
- 04
Piping and drainage routes
Where refrigerant lines can run through shafts and ceiling voids, and how condensate from each indoor unit will drain.
- 05
Ceiling and interiors
Whether each room has a false ceiling, which decides between cassette, ducted and ceiling-suspended indoor units.
- 06
Service access
Access panels and clear routes, so filters, units and joints can be reached for years of maintenance.
